The Audion Silver Night Mk1 printed circuit board 300B stereo amplifier or 5 channel integrated stereo power amplifier which has a  passive pre-amplifier built in so you can use up to 5 line level inputs. The integrated amps even have an un-attenuated output for feeding directly to a tape recorder or active sub-woofer or even to another amp for bi-amping.

All of our single ended amplifier designs use unique circuits and are auto-biased so don’t need regular bias changing or complicated setting up. They are virtually “Plug and play”

The Mk1 Silver Night is ideally suited to loudspeakers of 89db or greater efficiency. Having a volume control on the front often negates the need for a separate pre-amplifier. The amp deliver 7 watts into 8 ohm per channel. We use JJ 300B and Russian New old stock 6H23N as an input  and NOS Jan Philips 5687 driver tubes.

Sonically, The JJ300B Triode valves used in the Silver Nights give subtle nuances and texture to the music allowing  a good level of musical data retrieval. The 300B is a very well known valve that can reproduce delicacies and yet be punchy at the same time.

The chassis is made of military grade aluminium, with a durable black powder coated finish. The top plate and badge are finished with mirror polished stainless steel.

Upgrades available for the printed circuit board versions include changing Signal Capacitors, wiring audio path in solid silver, WBT Binding posts and RCA’s etc.. Speak to your dealer when ordering your amplifier. Any further upgrades and we would recommend going to the hard wired Anniversary versions  

There are options for both versions of the MK1 amplifiers to upgrade to solid silver wound secondaries or primaries and secondaries on the output transformer. However we would recommend going to Hard wired Anniversary versions before changing output transformers.

We also offer a remote volume control for both stereo and stereo integrated power amplifiers. New for 2020, full remote control option with built in 63 way stepped attenuator, remote channel change and volume as well as power off. Full metal handset.

Upgrade options and upgraded product categories direct from the factory.

We offer 2 upgrade classes for the Silver Night MK1 PCB, however we strongly advise moving to Anniversary or Special Edition versions for these upgrades,.. The upgrade classes are 
Insignia Class which uses a full silver wired audio path, better graded components again in the audio path, tantalum resistors in the critical places and WBT binding posts.
Excelsior Class uses the same as above but with the inclusion of Teflon/Tin foil V-caps, Internal Solid Silver wired Interconnect, a 43 way Stepped attenuator, better power supply capacitors and WBT RCA’s. 

There are options on both classes for solid silver wound secondaries or primaries and secondaries on the output transformer.
