The Audion Silver Night amplifiers come with a wide range of options, starting with our Mk1 printed circuit board 300B stereo amplifier right up to our Special Edition 300B Mono-block Power amplifiers and now including our all new HPS Silver Night 300B headphone amplifier The Silver Night range represents our intermediate level models.

The range consists of 21 different variations of the Silver Night including our HP1 balanced / SE headphone amplifier and our unique Silver Night DUO that can use both 300B and 2A3 valves using a unique circuit topology. 

The hard wired (Air Wired) 30th Anniversary amplifiers are wired point to point. All of of our amplifiers have a volume control on the front which negates the need for a pre-amplifier in most cases. Our stereo integrated power amplifiers even have a 5 stereo channel passive pre-amplifier built in so you can use up to 5 line level inputs. These amps even have an un-attenuated output for feeding directly to a tape recorder or active sub-woofer or even to another amp for bi-amping. All of our single ended designs use unique circuits and are auto-biased so don’t need regular bias changing or complicated setting up. 

Our amps are ideally suited to loudspeakers of 89db or greater efficiency except for our mono-block versions that can cope with lower efficiency. 

Sonically, The Triode valves used in the Silver Nights give subtle nuances and texture to the music allowing un-paralleled music finition retrieval. The 300B is a very well know valve that can reproduce delicacies and yet be punchy at the same time. The PX25 although a lesser known valve does (in our opinion) deliver everything the 300B can but with even better bottom end and top kick. 

Our Special Edition Silver Night series all have a solid silver audio path and internal interconnect, as well as our custom ” red power tubes” and feature WBT Nextgen binding posts, as well as our new look chassis. See New products for more details on the Special Edition range.

The Silver Night HP1 300B headphone amplifier is new to the range and features 8, 32, 150, 300 and 600 ohm switchable transformer output in either balanced or single ended mode. With 3 stereo input channels and a straight through un-attenuated output for connection directly to a power amp or similar, The HP1 headphone amp needs to be seen and heard. The chassis is made of military grade aluminium, with a durable black powder coated finish. The top plate and badge are finished with mirror polished stainless steel.  The special Edition models feature a full depth mirror polished stainless top plate with hidden fixings and organic valve fillets.

Upgrade options and upgraded product categories direct from the factory.

We offer 3 upgrade classes for the Silver Night Range.. The upgrade classes are 
Insignia Class which uses a full silver wired audio path, better graded components again in the audio path, tantalum resistors in the critical places and WBT binding posts.
Excelsior Class uses the same as above but with the inclusion of Teflon/Tin foil V-caps, Internal Solid Silver wired Interconnect, a 43 way Stepped attenuator, better power supply capacitors and WBT RCA’s. 
Signature Reference uses the same as the Excelsior class but comes with fully silver wired audio and ground paths, silver foil in oil capacitors, solid silver wound output transformers, silver RCA’s and Binding posts, 

There are options on both classes for solid silver wound secondaries or primaries and secondaries on the output transformer.
